A few years back I decided that I needed an NFL team to root for. Obviously, not having a local NFL team to root for in Canada meant I had the entire league to pick from. Chosing a team to be my “home” team wasn’t nearly as frustrating as it is for Carter, but it did take a little time (my hockey hatreds spilled over into my decision making).
In the end, because my wife is from North Carolina and my in-laws have infested the entire state, I went with the Carolina Panthers.
